My own vintage Clothing Fashion Magazine, the Summmer of Love,1967

Welcome to Januarys issue of MOVCFM ! In celebration of the 40th anniversary of The Summer Of Love AND my upcoming opening of the tribal rock musical Hair.I bring you a special hippy dippy edition, and a duel of 2 style stars.
If I had come of age in the summer of 1967,I think I would definitely be more Edie Sedgwick than Janis Joplin. ...and yet which free spirit partook of vintage clothes? NOT our groovy Factory Girl. Janis loved to comb through the thrift stores for old crushed velvet dresses and ratty feather boas, anything unique and theatrical for her concerts.Edie prefered the more current work of Courreges or Gernreich.

Heres the pregnant hippy Madonna, with special mind expanding psychedelic blogtography from my precociously artistic 10 year old.

I think Janis and I have the same haircut (or lack there of).
A little Hippy bling for my belly.

More hippy bling ,from my magic closet.
You can tell how much I am into this style by noting that the price tag is still on the stringy belt.

For the opening night reception I think I'll try a little Peggy Moffit.

Heres my version,a white crocheted sheath with paillettes.I'll also wear black tights and my Westwood platform pumps.I will enjoy the bonus thrill of feeling soooo skinny when I take my prop belly off.
Until next month your fashion editor wishes you peace ,flowers ,freedom, and happiness.
Just in case you've missed any issues here is the complete collection of MOVCFM

You are just playing a pregnant hippie chick, right?? Hee, last week you were svelt and sexy and in a red top outfit. Yes, what did happen to the children of those free birds? Did they turn out free and happy? I love Janis Joplin. I never was in that era, but saw a documentary about Janis on Sundance and was just beside myself. Now I wish I had been in that era. Too young to go. Unreal. The best era to ever lose many many of its best artists. I live it vicariously through my Mr. Lovee musician, with endless stories, and opening for the famous...Oh what a time!!!(he also was very into the motown scene) Okay, no more drama, wait what? No more drama? That can not be.. Drama Lives!!!!! xoxo, love seeing your comments and your words. You are indeed Scrumdeeleeyumptiously fablinskiliofabulousa

you are adarling one...I too am more edie than Janis, though like you I have the Janis Hair...but I am edie all the way, or actually a little Nico actually...

but alas, not a body like that.

either way, I love your fashionista peak into your world.

I actually did come of age in the summer of '67 well I was 16 anyway not legal but definitely thought I was hot stuff. Black tights and love boots (that's what we called the handmade sandals we wore) or barefeet. I had love beads and Mexican blouses, white knee high leather boots and a jacket to match. Dresses with low waists, thick black eyeliner with very light pink lipstick. I loved Verushka or somesuch name. She was a Russian model who wore the wildest eye makeup and was often on the cover of Vogue. Good times!!!

Fabulous issue! I agree with you on your choice of mod over hippy, though you look great as a hippy with that hair! Ooh, but that white dress and those shoes! You have to put that on Wardrobe Remix soon--such a hit!
