Our Sweet Elvis Has left The Building

Today we said goodbye to a sweet loyal friend and family member.Elvis (yes ,he was the king!) lived with us for almost twelve years. He came to us at a time when my husband just might have been having buyers remorse, over the non-domestic bride he chose, who could barely care for herself. He came to us right before I became pregnant with Crooked Halo. In many ways he taught me to be a mommy.
Over the years he grew from a scrawny little kitten to a BIG and beautiful boy.If a handyman came to the house ,be it dishwasher repairmen, exterminator or plumber, you can bet you would hear them say "Tha's a biiiig cat!". Yep,it was money in the bank, and quite true as you can see from the below picture,he was even bigger than my 8 month old Little Flower Blossom.
Elvis had a wonderful, full life as an indoor and sometime outdoor kitty. He was quite loved, and will be deeply missed. Mostly he will be remembered as a wonderful, loyal ,and unique family member.

Aw, hugs to you all! I had a "best friend" kitty (a giant one just like yours) and next week it'll be two years since we said goodbye. And I still keep thinking he's just in the next room....
I'll be thinking of you!

My deepest sympathy. We had our siamese cat -Kitten for nearly 20 years and she died nine years ago. I still miss her. Pets are such wonderful friends. And, I am partial to siamese, if you please. Elvis sure was handsome!

I hope he's feasting on fried PB and banana sandwiches as we speak. It's lovely to have had a great cat. Their tales live on.

Eb told me.
I am saddened to hear of dear Elvis' passing. I know how much it hurts to lose the closeness of such a beloved friend.

But he has not left you. Elvis remains forever in your hearts and memories. I know that is small condolence. But he is watching over you still.

(now I am crying. I lost too in September, my best friend and constant companion. I know how you feel. I still cannot stop the pain from creeping in at times. Perhaps My little girl and Elvis are together sliding over rainbows in play. Yes, I like that thought!)

with big warm hugs =^..^= love, zU

I am so sorry to hear about your loss.

I know right now there is a HUGE hole in your days...

And nothing anyone says can really help.

The house must seem quite a bit different without that little spirit around and about.

I hope that the sun will shine soon.

Much Love to both you and Elvis.

I think you will find eachother again.
I am convinced that is how it works.

Here's a hug.
I lost a golden retriever named Max after 15 years so I know what you're feeling. I hope your heart mends soon. It took me 6 years to be able to get another dog and Sadie has given me so much joy! I will never forget Max and all the fun we had but when they get really old it's just so hard. I send you healing thoughts and prayers for your family's sadness.

I'm deeply sorry to hear about Elvis, he looked like a king. We used to have one just like him his name was Mocha and he became 14 years old.
We currently have 3 cats, where 2 of them is 13 and I know that I soon will be in your position, and trust me I know how hard it is. Get another one to love, and think of all the good times you had with Elvis.
He was very "handsome"

Well since we just saw each other and you gave me this news in person, you know you have my condolences. Sitting in your dining room with the girls and your husband (who, by the way, is one of my favourite people, did you know?), I got to see/hear how the passing of Elvis affected everyone. I'm glad that you have raised your kids with a realistic but sympathic view of death and the pet as a family member.

Like the great and loving parent that you are, you are also a great and loving pet owner.

No surprise here.

People who are not pet owners don't get how important they are to us; I know how much your sweet Elvis meant to you. Always remember him happy, for you made it possible for that wonderful stray to settle into your family, relax and BE happy.

love
