Random Vintage-esque Stuff from the Dollar Store

Old fashioned hard candy can you believe it? I flipped when I saw this,so many ways you could use this, multiple candies in a clear dish,Gingerbread House decor,or how about just eating them? Me, I was crazy for the cannister they came in!

ACK! Seriously? I can't tell you how I've been searching for that kind of candy to use for favors at my wedding. Please tell me it was one of the chain dollar stores like Dollar Tree!

I've started collecting canisters. I found this book, metal discovery workshop, and now I want to start cutting designs off tins. I found some big cookie tins at Big Lots, as well as some at thrift stores. I am looking forward to experimenting.

I hope the candies weren't vintage....

So funny, after seeing this the first time I have been obsessed with thinking about this candy. I saw some at a local market (Henry's) and it was so bright and pretty. I think at one time I had fabric with images of ribbon candy all over it. Fun.

Also, thanks so much for telling me about linticular photography. Interesting.
